We have updated news on the Coronavirus and how it affects Copthorne Vets. It can be found by clicking here.

Copthorne Vets is still open as normal. However, in light of the new advice from the government, we have increased the steps we are taking to protect us all from coronavirus as much as possible.

While we have always cleaned and disinfected our reception areas twice daily, we are now stepping this up further. You may notice our team disinfecting the chairs, phones or card machine more than normal so please don’t be offended by this. Staff on reception may also choose to wear gloves, this is to protect you as much as them.

Our waiting room has been reconfigured to allow increased space between chairs and allow for social distancing. This does mean there is now less available seating in the waiting area so please try to limit the number of people your pet brings with them to the surgery.

Any clients who would prefer to wait in their car are very welcome to do so, but please let reception know when you have arrived so they can make the vet or nurse aware. They will then come out to your car when we are ready for you.

Prescriptions continue to run as normal, with standard medications available the next working day. Card payments can be taken by phone so if you would rather pay in advance rather than in-person to minimise the time in reception, we can facilitate this.

Finally, we continue to rely on you to make us aware if you have any signs, symptoms or are self-isolating. If you are unable to come in for any of these reasons and your pet is in need of veterinary care, it would really help us if a friend, neighbour or relative could bring your pet into us for you. If this is not possible, do give us a call and we can make arrangements for you.

As always, if you have any concerns we are just a phone call away.
