With restrictions in England being lifted on Monday 19th July, we at Copthorne Vets would like to update you all on where we stand as a practice.

For the time being, we will continue asking all clients to wait outside in our car park while our vets and nurses bring your pets in for examination and treatment. As a young team, we still have quite a few team members who have not yet received their second vaccinations and we want to make sure we keep everyone as safe as possible, without risking illness hitting the team.

While we realise this may be frustrating, it is important to remember that some of these team members are the very same ones who continued working through the darkest days of the first lockdown so that we could continue to provide veterinary care to our patients. We feel we owe it to them not to put them at risk now, just as we owe it to our patients to make sure they have a healthy, fully staffed veterinary team there for them if they need us!

Face masks will become optional for our outdoor consults, so please choose whatever you feel most comfortable with. As we work in close proximity, our team will continue to wear masks throughout the day.

Thank you all for your understanding.
