Since March the world has certainly been a different place and we have all had to get used to doing things differently.
From social distancing and wearing facemasks to meeting with friends and family virtually on-line. At the time of writing this, travel restrictions are gradually being eased and businesses are returning to the ‘new normal’.
During the last few months, Copthorne Vets has remained open for clients and their pets. In the beginning, this was limited to emergency treatment open but as the restrictions have been lifted we have been able to resume normal service and provide preventative healthcare again, including vaccinations and neutering. This has been a challenging time, working with a smaller team of vets, nurses, and receptionists, whilst other team members have struggled with childcare and the need to self isolate and shield themselves from this awful virus.
What is clear from these challenges is how the whole team has adapted quickly to changes, we have always been committed and passionate about ensuring our client’s pets receive the care they deserve and are proud that we have continued to do this.
Of course, we couldn’t have done it without our wonderful clients. We would like to say a huge thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we have made changes to ensure that our team, clients, and the wider community stay safe. These changes have included setting up patient hand-over stations outside our front doors, collection baskets for medications, and telephone/video consultations if appropriate. We fully appreciate that clients may feel more anxious when they are not able to accompany their pet into the consult room but can 100% reassure you that they receive the same care and attention they would if you were present – and probably get even more treats because we know they may be worried too!
It is still uncertain how things will look towards the end of the year but one thing is sure, we will be here for you and your pets. We will keep you updated via Facebook and here on our website, if you have any worries you can email us at [email protected] or call 01743 360614.
Thank you and Stay Safe
