We are an Essential Business and will remain OPEN during the second National Lockdown

On the 31st of October, the Prime Minister announced that England would enter a national lockdown from Thursday 5th November to Wednesday 2nd December.

It has been confirmed by the British Veterinary Association that Veterinary practices are essential businesses, providing essential animal health and welfare services, and can therefore stay open during the lockdown. Members of the public are permitted to leave home to access veterinary services. Along with all other businesses that remain open, we must ensure we have Covid-safety measures in place to protect our team, clients, and the wider community.

Over the last seven months our team has worked incredibly hard to put safe working measures in place, included setting up patient hand-over stations outside our front doors, collection baskets for medications, and remote telephone/video consultations if appropriate, so we are in a very strong position to get through the new lockdown measures.

Throughout all of this, our clients have been amazing. It is a stressful and worrying time for everyone and we want to reassure you that although the way we are working may be different, the level of care and attention you and your pets receive remains our highest priority. Your patience and acceptance of the new safety measures in place have helped us to achieve this. We still ask that you wear a face-covering when visiting the practice and use the hand sanitisers provided. Appointments can still be booked online using the ‘Book Now’ button on our Facebook page and website and repeat medications can be ordered by emailing hello@copthorne-vets.co.uk

Over the next few weeks if you are vulnerable or self-isolating but require our services please let us know. If you are worried about your pet’s health we can arrange a remote consultation with one of our vets or nurses and if your pet requires medication we can arrange for this to be delivered. We are here to support you and your pets during this challenging time.

Take care and stay safe
